THE MET OFFICE HAS ISSUED A YELLOW WARNING OF RAIN
VALID: 1900 November 8th 2014
UNTIL: 0800 November 9th 2014
Outbreaks of rain will turn heavier and more persistent during Saturday night and the early hours of Sunday, clearing during the morning.
The public should be aware of the risk of minor surface water flooding, perhaps exacerbated by leaves blocking drains.
An active frontal system will become slow-moving for a while overnight across southeastern parts of England. Exactly where this happens is subject to fairly low confidence but regardless of this, some bands of quite intense rainfall seem likely to develop for a time, with the risk of thunder. Many locations seem likely to see 20 mm of rain, while a few places receive more than 30 mm within 6 hours.
The public is advised to take extra care, further information and advice can be found here: http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/warnings/
